Dublin's newest Roastery based in the heart of the liberties
Groundstate roastery opened its doors in 2021, we roast coffee in Dublin's historic area of the Liberties, Dublin 8, here nestled in Dublin's distillers district we roast coffee in house in our beautiful cafe space.
At Groundstate we source speciality quality coffee beans working in partnership with small growers and specialty importers. We search for interesting and unusual lots and roast aiming to draw out the unique characteristics of the coffee’s terroir.
We have recently invested in a 5kg Typhoon Roaster, which uses fluid bed roasting technology. This is an increasingly popular roasting method that uses a bed of hot air to gently roast the coffee beans by convection. This results in coffee beans roasted evenly through to the centre with less defects, giving a cleaner flavour profile and drawing out more sweetness for a given roast level, and you can taste it in the cup!
