Introducing Alice’s Orange Sunshine — a limited-edition coffee from El Placer Farms, Colombia.
A radiant cup that hums with Turkish Delight, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, and Kombucha — syrupy, vivid, and slightly beyond ordinary perception.

It’s a rabbit hole of flavours, a prism of sweetness, a flash of warmth that lingers long after the last sip.

🌿 From El Placer, With Love

Produced by Sebastian Ramirez and his team at Finca El Placer, with thanks to @rogerg_zapata for linking us to this stunning lot.

Sebastian is a fourth-generation grower turned alchemist. After years studying at Sena, he transformed his family’s century-old farm into a lab of flavour and fermentation — experimenting with wild fruit infusions, thermal shocks, and precision drying.

His work has captured the imagination of the coffee world, earning titles at the 2024 Irish Barista Championship and a Top 6 finish at Worlds — a testament to his creativity and craft.


⚗️ Process: Thermal Shock Honey

This Pink Bourbon underwent a twice-fermented, co-fermented process — enriched with local wild berries to amplify complexity and sweetness.

  1. Selective Harvest & Sorting – Only the ripest cherries make the cut.

  2. Anaerobic Fermentation – 120 hours sealed at 18°C with CO₂.

  3. Thermal Shock Co-Ferment – A second 120-hour fermentation at 40°C, infused with wild berries — deepening fruit tones and creating that signature glow.

  4. Honey Process Drying – 20 days under canopy, 5 in parabolic dryers for a slow, steady finish.

  5. Stabilisation & Selection – Rested, hulled, hand-sorted, and vacuum-packed for maximum clarity and sweetness.

The result? High sweetness. High body. Extreme fruit. A coffee that feels like it’s humming in another key.
