The Story Behind the Coffee
The Aquiares Estate is one of Costa Rica’s oldest and most iconic farms — a 924-hectare paradise stretching across the volcanic slopes of Turrialba. Run by the Robelo family, it’s a blueprint for what sustainable coffee farming can be.
They’ve planted over 50,000 shade trees, built schools and clinics for the local community, and turned the farm into a living ecosystem — so much so that it’s now carbon negative.
This “Entre Ríos” micro-lot comes from two varietals — Marsellesa and Obatá — handpicked at peak ripeness and dried naturally in solar greenhouses. The result is a rich, jammy coffee with elegant florals and silky caramel sweetness.
Half Baked Jake may be chill, but the craftsmanship behind this coffee is seriously next-level.
