As 2024 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an incredible year at Groundstate Coffee Roasters. From thrilling events to bold new coffee releases and creative designs, this year has been packed with milestones that wouldn’t have been possible without you – our amazing coffee community. 2024 Highlights

New Coffee Releases

This year saw the launch of some unforgettable coffees, each with a unique story to tell. Dimitri Croaker, our natural Ethiopian espresso roast with tasting notes of Chocolate Liquor, Blackberry, Bergamot, and Floral, became a customer favorite. Not far behind was Interstellar Stella, a vibrant Burundi coffee with notes of Rose Hips, Tangerine, and Kombucha, roasted to perfection for filter brewing.

We also introduced Far Out Freddy, a bright Ethiopian filter coffee featuring tasting notes of Papaya, Blood Orange, and Aperol Spritz. One of the standout moments of 2024 was attending the London Coffee Festival. Sharing our passion for specialty coffee with enthusiasts from around the world was both inspiring and rewarding. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our coffees and connect with fellow coffee lovers face-to-face. Plus, we may or may not have handed out too many samples and ended up caffeinating half of London. (Apologies to anyone who got a bit too buzzed!)

Logo Redesign

In September, we unveiled our brand-new logo, designed by the incredibly talented Sarah Moloney Design. The updated design reflects Groundstate’s vibrant and creative spirit while staying true to our roots. We’re proud of how it brings a fresh energy to everything from our packaging to our merchandise. It’s the perfect visual representation of who we are: bold, fun, and always up for something new.

Wacky New Characters

This year, we embraced our playful side with the introduction of some quirky new characters tied to our coffees. From the energetic Dimitri Croaker to the stellar Interstellar Stella, and now the adventurous Far Out Freddy and the lovable Silly Simon, these personas added personality and fun to our brand. They’ve quickly become a hit with our community and will only get wackier in the future. We’re having as much fun creating them as you are enjoying them!
