Introducing Our Coffee Maestros & Leadership Team: Andy, Vitoria & Mark
Andy, co-owner of Groundstate Coffee Roasters, brings over a decade of hands-on experience in specialty coffee. With more than 10 years dedicated to refining roast profiles, green coffee sourcing, and production quality, his technical expertise shapes every batch roasted for our wholesale partners across Ireland.
Vitoria, our lead roaster, is a tough, highly driven talent who is rapidly establishing herself as a top-class roaster on the international stage. In October last year, she won the Mercanta Roasting Competition, competing against 32 roasteries from across Europe — a standout achievement that reflects her technical precision, sensory skill, and consistency. She leads roast development, quality control, and flavour profiling across both espresso and filter ranges.
Mark, co-owner and Director of Sales & Growth, oversees the commercial and strategic direction of Groundstate Coffee Roasters. He leads all wholesale relationships, account management, and business development, while also driving sustainability initiatives, brand strategy, and expansion plans. From partnerships and new markets to packaging innovation and operational growth, Mark is responsible for shaping where Groundstate is going and how the business continues to scale while staying true to its values.
Together, Andy, Vitoria, and Mark form a tight-knit, family-run leadership team that combines technical excellence, creative roasting, and strategic growth. As part of the Groundstate family, they work closely with café partners across Ireland to deliver consistently exceptional coffee, long-term support, and a collaborative approach to wholesale.

- Partnership with Hometree.ie: For each sack of green coffee we transport, two native Irish trees are planted. This initiative directly offsets the carbon emissions from our transportation process, making our coffee more eco-friendly.
- Supporting Cleancoasts.org: We're not just about great coffee. We're also about giving back to our environment. That's why we contribute 1% of our coffee sales directly to cleancoasts.org. Through this partnership, we assist in marine and beach cleanups across the nation and help raise awareness about marine pollution.
